Story Box, original mixed media assemblage, The World is a Beautiful Place. This interpretive piece has designed to remind us all to stop, working so much and get out and punch our ticket to enjoy this beautiful world we get to spin on. The piece is in a wood box covered with modern papers in white, gold, and tan. The piece measures: height 8" x length 8.25" x depth .5". The piece features a pair of eye frames from a vintage opera glass set at the top- to remember to look about. There is a hand on the left with a vintage lightbulb representing the idea to slow and stop and enjoy. There is a key with a flash card 7 and an unlocked lock reminding us to unlock the work 7 day work mentality and embrace some more of the beauty in the world instead. The other hand is holding a pair of scissors with a ticket left unfilled to remind us to get out and travel to where ever our dreams take us. It is finished with the statement: The World is a Beautiful Place at the bottom. The piece is signed and dated on the bottom. It has little imperfections created during the creation process making it perfectly imperfect.
